MatchDayApp aims to become the most useful mobile app available to football fans.

We hope that our blog will prove to be popular, lively and engaging. It is targeted squarely at football fans. We aim to be a real hub of information for travelling football fans.

We have no affinity to any one team and we seek contributions from fans of all Premier League, Football League and Football Conference teams.

Here are a few guidelines to help you write your guest post

  • Our ideal post should be entertaining, perhaps funny and contain useful insights for fans who follow their team home or away.
  • Try to keep it short. About 500-600 words is ideal. 700 words maximum.
  • Although we are happy to create a series of smaller articles to accommodate longer posts that we like.
  • Write something opinionated, fresh and interesting, but please no 100% dedicated match reports.
  • Don’t use the blog to plug your business.
  • Please supply any required images, including image credits – if necessary.
  • Please supply any required YouTube url’s.
  • You can include a maximum of two links within your post (we will also provide a link to your site, see below).
  • Links provided to personal/non-commercial websites and blogs only.
  • No profanity, racism, sexism, homophobia, aggressive language or incitement to hatred or violence.
  • Please supply your full name, your website/blog address and/or your Facebook/Twitter page so we can credit and link to you at the end of the article.

Other Notes

  • MatchDayApp maintains editorial control of all content on the blog.
  • We reserve the right to sub-edit guest posts so that they fit our house style and conform to these guidelines. We will run any major changes past you before publishing.
  • We reserve the right to publish or remove submitted blog posts at any time.
  • We have no obligation to enter into correspondence about guest posts.
  • We are unable to pay bloggers for their articles. In return we can offer a great football fan based platform, plus a credit for your work and a web link to your non-commercial site or blog.
  • Original new content is obviously fantastic, but we certainly don’t expect exclusivity on any work sent to us.
  • We are also happy to re-blog existing articles elsewhere online. If you’ve written something that appears on another site and you’d like us to also feature it, please get in touch with the details.
