The transfer period in the Premier League has come and gone with some significant signings.

Whether it was a big money deal or a clever addition, each club was looking to improve on their squad’s accomplishments from last season.

The top 10 2015-16 Premier League transfersHere are the top ten 2015/16 Premier League transfers

1) Pedro Obiang

One of the more high-profiled Premier League transfers this period was Pedro Obiang signing with West Ham. He gives the club a real presence in the middle of the pitch, as Obiang has a reputation of being a box-to-box defender.

2) Nathaniel Clyne

Traditionally, Liverpool hasn’t had much success in the transfer period, as they’ve spent millions of pounds for sub-par results. This year might be different because Liverpool may have found a solid contributor in Nathaniel Clyne. His style of play was grossly missing from last season.

3) Matteo Darmian

Manchester United struggled badly last year, and not surprisingly, upper management made significant changes to their team in the transfer period. Their highlight acquisition was international star Matteo Darmian, who shouldn’t have much trouble playing under the spotlight for United.

4) Raheem Sterling

Plenty of controversy surrounding Raheem Sterling’s move to Manchester City, as the talented 20-year-old publicly refused Liverpool’s contract offer to resign with the team. Manchester City’s aging lineup is receiving a much-needed youthful injection, and Sterling should provide quality play heading towards the net.

5) Jordy Clasie

Familiarity is the key for Southampton signing of Jordy Clasie, who thrived under manager Ronald Koeman during their time together at Feyenoord. Clasie is a textbook midfielder, who is also a terrific passer.

6) Christian Benteke

Liverpool had trouble putting the ball into the net last year, as their goalscoring tumbled from 101 goals in 2013/14 to a meager 52 goals last season. The signing of Christian Benteke should help to rectify this problem.

7) Memphis Depay

Manchester United needed to a quick attacker into their lineup that could regularly score. They signed a skillful forward in Memphis Depay, as he’s expected to make a major impact on the team’s style of play.

8) Yohan Cabaye

One of the smartest transfer moves was Yohan Cabaye to Crystal Palace, as he has a chance of recapturing his place as an international star. In the process, Cabaye can help develop a winning attitude with Crystal Palace.

9) Petr Cech

Petr Cech isn’t a world-class goalkeeper anymore, but he still has enough talent to have a successful 2015/16 campaign with Arsenal. Who knows, he could be the difference for them becoming a serious title contender this season.

10) Georginio Wijnaldum

A number of talented international players have made the trek to the Premier League, but none may be more important than Georginio Wijnaldum to Newcastle United. Manager.
