As the 8,000 or so Leicester City fans trundled disconsolately out of the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night, they will have been ruthlessly reflecting on one of the Foxes most humbling defeats in years.
Yes, it may have ‘only’ been the Capital One Cup, and yes, we may have fielded a team made up of fringe players and those coming back from injury, but the fact remains: Leicester had conceded four – at home – against League Two side Burton Albion, in a 4-2 defeat. (more…)

This Saturday my attention will be making a quick turn away from London and Team GB up to Leeds and Team GT as Shrewsbury Town travel to Leeds United for their first competitive fixture of the campaign.

With the disappointment of last season’s relegation still fresh in the mind, it’s now time for John Sheridan and his side to restore hope to the Chesterfield fans.
Although last season can be seen as a failure, it has proven to be a reality check. Many fans expected the Blues to be in and around the mixer towards the end of the campaign, but terrible mid-season form cost the side its League One status. (more…)

Most football fans try not to think too hard about season ticket prices.
